Fantastic! It's great to start Monday with a belly laugh. I'm liking your simple way of do the Ruby Banter series :) Keep them coming....

So would this allow me to use ruby to repurpose mission-critical networks and synergize web-enabled niches in order to monetize proactive e-markets. At present java allows me to synthesize synergistic bandwidth and envisioneer turn-key initiatives which is core to my implementation of ubiquitous e-business .

If this is all I need to do then I will be able to deploy enterprise mindshare and drive real-time relationships within my enterprise.

    Now thats enterprise.

I really like the format of this video - surely this could be used to explain loads of stuff, in both Ruby and other things - it's far more enjoyable and helpful than many so-called "Help" sections. Chris is right - keep them coming :-)

Isn't one of the faster Ruby interpreters written in Java? :) Still made me laugh!

  9. Manfred Stienstra 3 days later: (delete)

No sorry, JRuby is comparable in speed to Ruby 1.8.6 at best. Ruby 1.9 is much faster.

Garth, please note we're not talking about the speed of Java, but about the speed of a Proper J2EE Enterprise Web Application. ;)
